Reading Time: 1 minute

Please join us this Sunday for treats as we meet to discuss all aspects of death and dying. This is a safe, respectful space where you can share beliefs, curiosity, fear and stories. There is no set agenda, the discussions are to share and gain insight to our immortality.

This event will be led by Christin Ament. Christin is a Palliative and Hospice RN, Integrative Health Practitioner, Nurse Practitioner in training, and Death midwife/ Death doula. She sits vigil with those dying and participates in ceremony through life’s transition.

More about Death Café… A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. They have spread quickly across Europe, North America and Australasia. As of today, 6223 Death Cafes have been offered in 56 countries since September 2011.

At a Death Cafe people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea, and discuss death.

The objective is ‘to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives’.

It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session. The flow is organic with no objective beyond discussion.
