While the weather as of late may not be behaving itself as most of us would like, we are now in spring. Along with the budding flowers and smell of fresh grass (soon I hope), spring means the beginning of the art crawl and open studio tour season in the Twin Cities! That’s right, it’s time to mark your calendars as the 2018 art season kicks off this month! Here are a few musts for any art enthusiast along with all the necessary links.

CALIFORNIA BUILDING DOG DAY

ABOUT: Dogs are welcome for the 3rd Annual DOG DAY at the California Building! Bring your social dog with you to this FREE event! Wander the building for Second Saturday Open Studios, meet local artists, tour our building, and discover amazing art!
SPRING 2018 SAINT PAUL ART CRAWL
DATES: April 27, 28 & 29th
ABOUT: The St. Paul Art Collective is proud to announce the Spring 2018 Saint Paul Art Crawl. This event is presented each spring and fall by the Collective, who relies on artists and others who volunteer their time and resources, to make it happen.

ABOUT: Join us for our annual Open Studio event showcasing painting, photography, sculpture, book arts and printmaking from 25+ artists including guests.
23rd ANNUAL ART-A-WHIRL
DATES and HOURS:
Friday, May 18th – 5:00-10:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 19th – Noon-8:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 20th – Noon-5:00 p.m.
ABOUT: Presented by the Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association (NEMAA), Art-A-Whirl is an open studio tour in Northeast Minneapolis. It’s a great opportunity to tour private artist studios and galleries, connect with the artists, and purchase original artwork. Over the last 20+ years, it has become the largest open studio tour in the country. Art-A-Whirl takes place annually throughout Northeast Minneapolis, the third weekend of May. This event is free and open to the public.
